When I was a kid growing up in Kenya many Christians in that country assumed the Masai might never really take an interest in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Masai are one of those rare cultures who had a benevolent God concept, but they had almost no superstition or fear of devils and spirits. They were a near vacuum in the spiritual part of life.
God had other ideas. The Gospel HAS been received by the Masai people. Many have come into Christ. A friend of mine has gone to Kenya twice to be the cook for a Masai pastor. He had a great time being the White man cooking for the African pastor. Roll reversal, but more than that, a testimony to the work of the Holy Spirit in true believers.
